As realtors, it’s our job to treat every home and its buyers and sellers equally. We want what’s best for you—no matter who you are. Everyone—no matter your budget, background, or beliefs—deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and honesty. Whether you’re buying a home or walking down the street.
My husband, Bob Ormsby, was an Olympic ski racer for many years, and he traveled the world experiencing new cultures and meeting people with global backgrounds and experiences. As a business owner in the Tahoe area, he strives to bring that same understanding and acceptance to the people he encounters on a daily basis.
As for me, Roxie, I’ve always maintained peace and had respect for people for their full selves. I never judge because my dad taught me Judge and Be Judged. I try to see the good in everyone and understand that we are all works in progress.
Here at Ormsby Real Estate, we are working hard to stay forced, learn from and listen to others, and work as a team to give every person the respect and fair treatment they deserve.
We stand with this statement from the California Association of Realtors: “Fighting for a diverse, equal, and unified community; commitment to fair housing embodies the ideals of which our country stands for. Passed more than 50 years ago, the Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, or financing of housing units based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. It is our duty as REALTORS® to maintain equal opportunity in the housing market.”
